Frequently Asked Questions

How often do you get used trailers in stock?

Though there is no real way of knowing just when units will be received, our selection changes frequently enough that you will want to check back often.

Is there any way for me to find out about units you just got in?

If you sign up for our mailing list and let us know what you are looking for, we can contact you when something like that comes in.

Is there any way I can see a floor plan?

Of course the best way to see a floor plan is to come into the dealership and see it, but please feel free to check the links below the detail description for the new units we offer.

How can I tell how much my vehicle can tow?

Your owner's manual should give you all the information you need. Also, your dealership can help.

Do you sell park models?

We sell park trailers up to 40 feet in length that come in one and two bedroom models.

How can I get my park trailer to my site?

We will deliver and place your new trailer on your lot, usually at no additional expense.

Do you make arrangements for a site to put the trailer on?

While the actual choice of campground and the arrangements are up to you, we do have some campgrounds that we can recommend.

What happens if I have a problem with what I bought later?

Every manufacturer we represent offers one-year warranties and we offer protection programs for newer used units. To handle the actual repairs, we have a complete shop with factory-trained technicians and a fully equipped road service truck on the road 5 days a week in season.

What if I owe more on the unit I am trading in than the trade-in value?

We do not like to see any of our customers in a challenging financial position, so we would recommend that you sell the trade-in on your own.

Why is there such a difference on what dealers offer as a trade?

Delaware Camping Center refuses to play "numbers games." We discount our prices from the suggested retail and we present the real trade-in value so you can feel confident you are getting the best deal the first time you visit our dealership. In addition, our Price Guarantee lets you know we will not offer the same trailer for less, or we will refund the difference plus $1,000.

Why do you not list prices on your site?

Some dealers post base prices to make it look like a "good deal," but then add numerous extra and hidden charges at the end. We do not publish prices to protect you, our customer. When you come in and see the products, you will know just what you are getting and how much it costs from the clearly marked signs.

SERVICE RELATED QUESTIONS

Should I winterize my camper for the winter?

Absolutely! We recommend running RV antifreeze throughout the entire plumbing system as soon as you are done camping for the season, before the first freeze. Ask us about season specials when you make your appointment.

What kind of maintenance do I have to do for my camper?

There are several things we recommend to protect your investment and ensure many years of enjoyment:

1. Clean and condition your rubber roof at least once a year, preferably in the spring. We have a complete line of cleaning and conditioning products in the parts store.

2. Also once a year, it is good to check all seams, windows, and compartments to make sure the sealant is good.

3. In springtime, have all propane appliance assemblies cleaned and adjusted for safe and efficient operation.

How often should the wheel bearings be greased?

Some manufacturers recommend every 3,000 miles. We agree that mileage is the key factor in frequency (not months or years), however we think 6 - 8,000 miles is sufficient.

What do I do if my air conditioning is not cooling like it used to?

RV air conditioners are sealed units, meaning that they cannot be recharged. While most often all that is required is routine maintenance which includes cleaning the filter and the fins and lubricating the motor, Delaware Camping Center has Certified Technicians that can make sure all of your RV is at its best.
